imprisoning me
All that I see
Absolute horror
I cannot live
I cannot die
Trapped in myself
Body my holding cell

Landmine has taken my sight
Taken my speech
Taken my hearing
Taken my arms
Taken my legs
Taken my soul
Left me with life in hell[/url]

Greatest Metal track, EVER.

Surely one of the best choons ever, too...

I'm going too...strangely not that excited.

There's no way that One is the best Metallica track ever, let alone the best metal song ever. (IMO)

Prefer the Cliff stuff than the badly produced nonsense on Justice 😉

No, in fact, it isn't. It's not even the best Metallica track.

🙂

Seeing them Tuesday.

Havers. Master of Puppets is their best, and THE best metal album of all time.

mickyfinn, good to see that someone else has heard of them!

For those that haven't, just imagine what would happen if ZZ Top, Aerosmith, AC/DC, the BLack Crowes and the Rolling Stones all got together, got very very drunk and then had an album produced by Rick Rubin. It fupping well rocks!

For me, Pantera's 'A vulgar display of power' is probably the best metal album. That or Mchine head - 'Burn my eyes' 'Black is good though.

I think you'll find that it actually is, and that you are wrong.

Sorry to have to put it to you like that, but you know, sometimes, the truth hurts!

I'm kinda with scienceofficer on this one.....Vulgar display of power is a mental album.....as is Burn My Eyes.....not sure if I have a 'best' though.

I saw Metallica at Wembley Stadium last yr and was not that bothered. In fact, everytime I see them I end up a little disappointed but knowing that I should have enjoyed it more than I did. Don't know why.

The best band to see live for me has to be The Wildhearts....non-stop energy, great lyrics, seem like great guys - just a whole lot of fun. I know they're not exactly metal, but.......

there were loads of metal/hiphop collaborations in the early 90s. The entire Judgement Night soundtrack is full of them, and mighty good too.

Faith no More and Boo Ya Tribe being the leader of that particular pack.

Thems were the days!

Rumours of a Faith No More reunion this year.
Saw them back in the day at the International and International 2 in Manchester - two of the best gigs I've ever seen. Mates brother (Dec Gleason) was a photographer for Kerrang! and got us backstage. Decent people, not too up themselves to talk to a scruffy bunch of Mancs and share their rider (24 cans of Budweiser - rock stars eh?) with us.

I only got to see them when they were supporting GnR on the Use your Illusion tour @ Wembley.

On that particular day, Mr Patton decided to do most of the Angel Dust tracks live from somewhere backstage! A particularly strange fruit.

Faith no More and Boo Ya Tribe - Another body murdered! Bit o' class.

'Tallica? Black is best (to coin a phrase...)

CaptainFlashheart and mickyfinn...

Would you by and chance *cough* know anywhere I could get a copy of the Nobody Said it Was Easy? Been looking for ages since I snapped my cassette copy! The featured the ex-touring bass player from the Cult, who was also in Zodiac Mindwarp, from memory didn't they?

rtedge at hotmail.com

Blows dust of CD...

I loved this group back in the day!

Video of that song with the guy from the movie...no senses-scared me to bits as a kid.

OK, I'll agree with you - it's the greatest Metallica track.

If it's the only Metallica track you've ever heard.

😀
