[Closed] The best property in the UK for £100,000

While house hunting for my parents I noticed that the cheapest property in our area was £125,000 for a 1 bed flat.
So as an interesting exercise and ripping off the amazon thread , STW Phil and Kirsties get sleuthing.

3 bed semi in a cul de sac with front and back gardens, driveway and garage. Not overlooked at the back. Somewhere between 100-117k in our street. Stoke-on-Trent though!

Good god Edric. What did you post that for?

If I sold my house and bought that at that price I could live there mortgage free*

Starts looking at Police Scotland for vacancies.

*I realise it could well go for substantially more

Stone's well placed for great countryside and travel connections. I suspect Scotland might prove more fruitful.

I have a feeling that the £100k guide price may be a bit in the low side

You'd have to pay me £10k a year to live in that last one.

I can say that as I grew up there.

Great thread, but surely auction guide prices are a bit cheeky!

Mountain bikers dream - fantastic imposing building, plenty of space for a state of the art woodpile, and doorstep access to Penmachno mtb trails or over the hill to Betws and the Marin trail 🙂 A snip at £65k (though you might need the remaining £35k to put in a few essential items ...)

Searching on Rightmove for stuff <100k in Doncaster would be a bit silly, normal terrace houses ready to move in start about £40k, so you would have lots of 3 and 4 bed semis in ok areas for £100k. I'm on the mailing list for local auctions though and this popped in last week, looks mancavetastic!

This one isn't the best, but it has the most potential. About 30 miles from where I currently live and for £64k it is cheeeep:

It's the value of land its location plus (legacy) build costs, which is why our current place in rural Scotland is worth less than the one we had down south even though we've ten times the land, twice the floor area and three huge outbuildings.

I was banned by my wife from buying this one so someone on here can have it. I reckon if you spent the extra 15K it would be ace.

Not exactly UK though

It becomes depressingly easy to find properties with land as soon as you look overseas 🙁

Some great ones on here though so far.

righog,

The one with 7 bedrooms looks nice. I like.

The scenery is very nice but are there many zombies around that area? Or will there be a sudden massive sink hole that will swallow up the house? (mining area)

I mean they look a bit far from civilisation you know ... Benelli M4?

😀

Nothing interesting, but this is round the corner from me. Chase on your doorstep. Tesco and Costa within walking distance and a couple of decent pubs not a million miles away.

Some of these are starting to depress me.

I feel settled where I am, but I'm not even the slightest bit tied to location work-wise (globally really).
But I've got friends where I live and am on the edge of the peak district, close to wales, etc.

But here it's £200,000 for 3 beds with garden but no garage. (and no halls/landing/utitily/seperate kitchen/etc either)!
