Arrived in this round of LoveFilm discs. Some sort of gothic horror apparently.

I don't remember adding this to my list, or why I did it. Anyone seen it, any good?

yes, it is, very good. Way better than The Woman In Black

set shortly after WWI, so not that gothic really, and more of a spooky story than a horror. Still good though

Cool. I'll watch that, then. (-: Ta.

Trailer at the front is for GdT's "Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark" - that looks entertaining as well.

I found The Awakening pretty boring. Possibly because I fell asleep and missed a large portion of it, and really wasn't in the mood.

It's actually more of a film about personal retribution than it is about ghosts, and ultimately not very scary.

Don't be Afraid of the Dark is an odd one: Essentially it isn't a great film, but I found certain parts of it extremely freaky, and still memorable to this day.

I quite enjoyed it, quite slow paced, just an easy sunday evening sort of film, I preferred The womman in black though.

Yeah, I enjoyed it in the end. More of a 'traditional' ghost story than an out-and-out horror, but entertaining enough.

Cheers.

On another note I seem to be getting films sent to me from LF that I haven't added to my list. Currently got Werner Herzogs 'Into the Abyss'.

Given my growing boredom and the depressing ongoing rubbish weather I am very certain I didn't add that to my list.

Think yourself lucky. I got sent some right old Chickflick cobblers last time. And it was about 3 years old.

Make sure there's lots of choice on your list or you will be put into the randomiser.

The randomiser sounds fun. Unless they're sending out ancient chickflicks. Sort of an unlucky dip.
