Looking forward to the resumption of the premier rivalry later today. How do we think things will pan out? Will England's bowlers fire? Will the relative inexperience of the Aussie team be a factor?

I just hope England start at maximum intensity as in 2005, anything less could cost us dear.

Can't wait. Agreed Harmison should be in but at least Sidebottom ain't.
Going to be a close one, really close. As you say, England need to go flat out from the first ball.

I'm sure the cries of support from the Welsh will be a big help 🙂

Should be a close one I think. They don't have the bowling strength of the past, and we have something of an all round team.....

2005 again anyone?

Epicyclo, it's the England and Wales Cricket Board.....

Why wouldn't the crowd at Sophia Gardens be cheering on the home side?

Because most cricketers who've played for Glamorgan consider that they are actually playing for Wales?

As Crofty said, Glamorgan is playing for Wales, playing for England is like playing for the Lions.

It's called SWALEC now.

My interest is in the pitch, since they sacked a top groundsman and gave the job to a school caretaker to save a bit of dough after blowing it all on the bid and hospitality facilities.

Listening on the net from Auckland, Desperate for England to do well but definitely worried about the Aussies. They came back really well against the South Africans earlier this year, after getting a lesson or two on their own patch before christmas

I know.

How many Welsh cricketers on the ENGLAND team? Never heard it called anything but the England team before.

So I'm curious who they are going to cheer for because my Welsh cousin is cheering for Oz.
