I'm sure I saw it linked here once.
A double act (Smith/Jones? Armstrong/Miller? Enfield/Whitehouse?) trade a piece of paper back and forwards, with the value going up each time.

Thx yeah that's not it but it's in that style, though I recall the characters were standing up.
