Any other Android users now completely unable to use their app?
I'm thinking it's time to cancel given it's been slow for a while and is now just plain unusable, given the reduction in the value of a clubcard vouchers it was probably time to look elsewhere, what does the STW group use as a spend, clear the balance and reward generating card these days?
Ours is working fine. Will still use ours for Tunnel. Managed to swap enough vouchers for the next four trips at 3 x so will take us to June 25
Following with interest. I'm on Apple and the app still works, but been questioning the point since they dropped the clubcard voucher values. My work expenses go through my personal credit card so I can rack up some serious points!
My app seems to be working fine on Andriod.
Mine stopped working a couple of days ago. A delete and reinstall seems to have fixed it.
On the wider topic of the Tesco Credit card, I'm also considering changing. When we lived near a Tesco filling station and did all of our grocery shopping at Tesco it made for a decent reward system. A lot less so now - especially since they've cut the benefits again recently.
I do find that, intermittently, the app doesn't seem to work too well (iOS) and it sometimes forgets Face ID which is a faff, but overall it's okay. We generally just collect points and exchange for a shop at Christmas rather than cash in points though.
Interesting it still seems ok for some, it's been crap all week for me and possibly a bit longer, seemed to have a new version yesterday which was ok, but it's crashing before even finishing loading again today.
I do still spend a worrying amount of my income with Tesco, but their store and petrol stations are not only the closest to home, it's a 15 minute journey to anywhere that's not a Tesco living in the Cambridgeshire wilds. But I'm still tempted to dump the card as I can't open the app.
Have you tried removing the app and reinstalling it from scratch?
I used to use my Tesco credit card for day to day spending/clearing the balance at the end of the month but the rewards aren't what they used to be.
I switched to using a Chase debit card instead as I get 1% cashback on purchases, 3.8% interest on savings accounts and 5% on "round-up" where they round up to the nearest £ and whack the difference in a round-up account. It's surprising how much it adds up over time.
They are also ranked the best for use abroad and I saved a fortune last year compared to taking cash or using my credit card on holiday.
I hardly ever use my Tesco card since using Chase. The app is great to use as well, so I'd definitely recommend having a look at them. Sadly they've stopped the refer a friend scheme now, but worth checking them out
If people are leaving Tesco, what are they using instead? Where are the best rewards?
Had a Tesco card for years and put everything on it. Never used the App. Am I missing something?
App works fine for me on iPhone but its does require re-authentication at semi random intervals (typically 2-3 weeks).. might be time to move to something with better rewards as we do the pay it off every month thing.
