Right then, seems that this year Vango have sorted a side awning for the Tigris 800, so we are looking to get a 2011 version - unless any users on here can put us off?
The cheapest price I can find online for the tent,footprint and side awning is at Tentwarehousedirect.co.uk, who we have never heard of before. They even have it in the colour MrsMCTD wants as well!
Anyone used them and can recommend/put me off them?

We have an older model, it's great, very roomy, easy to put up and it was still standing after the wind had blown lots of smaller tents down.
The only downside is the size, but I guess you, like us need a big tent, it takes ages and lots of space top dry it. To the extent that we've been away less than we used to with a smaller tent.
If you get one, get the footprint as well, it keeps the underside of the groundsheet clean and makes packing up easier.
I thought I smelt a rat with their website - the lack of phone number or address but it's tucked away in the Terms page.
The address and phone given look to match with this company http://www.camping-intl.com/ and their website has much more information, not to mention what looks to be a reasonably large retail store.
I'd possibly give Camping International a call and ask them about Tentwarehouse just to make sure.
I love the look of this tent. Would suit the family fine.

I have the tigris 600 and love it. Only used it for 5 weekends so far but very impressed with the build. Wish I had bought the 800 for the extra £20 at the time. Tent like this is also good for Mayhem etc as you have plenty of space to seek shelter in the wet!
I recommend the ground sheet too. Also worthwhile buying some decent pegs as the others bend(as with all supplied pegs). Apart from that its a 10/10.

PTR makes avery good point.. big tents great in dry,, a real pain to pack when wet and then dry.. a real pain.
Just to update anyone interested, ordered the tent, porch and footprint last Friday night from tentwarehousedirect, and it all arrived this morning. Quite impressed, so if anyone among the campers is looking for a cheap(ish) supplier, they get my vote.
Just need to hire a whole field to try and get the damned thing up!
