Is bigger better? Or is a smaller 8-10ft one plenty? Was installing easy enough? Which ones are built to last? Any tips to get the edges nice and tight to avoid limbs getting trapped? Any membrane or sharp sand or anything like that used? Don't want a puddle underneath that'll catch the mat.

Rectangle will fit better..or round for some reason?

Isn't drainage a major problem - or are you planning to stock it with a few carp?

I'll be digging it much deeper than needed and creating a sump below the min depth

I dug ours out about 6 weeks ago.. probably took about 3 tonnes of dirt out by hand. Just get a cover for it and most of the water shouldnt run into the hole when it rains. Apparently rectangular trampolines bounce better than round ones. Ours isnt totally flush fitted so did lots of trial bouncing before final fix in place to make sure you cant bottom it out..
