Ok, bit of a taboo subject (maybe?)..and not really very fitting to STW, but my teeth have seen better days so thinking of some DIY whitening. Any recommendations/experience?

I remember someone started a thread about washing powder one day so it doesn't seem too bad to me with that in mind! ๐Ÿ™‚

My wife paid 300quid for hers to be done professionally (i was drunk when she asked me) anyway they looked absolutley brilliant, for 5 days, then you have to go back once a month apparently at 75quid a pop, the diy kits are just that but think carefully what ur doing as if you leave the stuff on too long ul know about it, thats before buying the moulds to house the "paste" and the moulds come from ur dentist seperate then buy the paste off ebay, i had this discussion with the mrs too many times, her friends a dental nurse but works in portsmouth bit far from the old pool to get discounted gnasher whitening.

I am married to an American and so this is something that goes on in my house. She uses Colgate strips. Apparently the ones that claim to do it quicker do work quickly but with the trade off that they leave your teeth very sensitive and uncomfortable. The ones that you use over a few weeks are slower but your teeth feel fine.

She doesn't use them any more and recently bought some arm and hammer toothpaste and it has sorted my British teeth out nicely with no side effects. I would recommend it.
