MegaSack DRAW - This year's winner is user - rgwb
We will be in touch
Hi all tech people
I've got a 2 year old dell inspiron 1300, which on the odd occasion decides to just go blue screen on me its done it about 3 times now. Everything is backed up on the external hard drive, but can I stop this from happening. If I turn it of and leave it for a bit, its back to full working order.
overheating ?
if you can get the back off, blow out all the dust & see how you go
Min was doing this a lot recently, removed the front section above the fan and put a hoover over it, seems to be working now and not overheating. Also did a rebuild shortly after bt since adding skype again it's not been great. Have you added any new programs that could also be linked? Most likely heating though -do you have animals? Fur wraps around the fan and causes mayhem
One of your "mates" has installed BSOD screensaver?
Get the latest bios from Dell website.
When I got my Dell Inspiron 8100 many years ago the same thing happened and once I updated the bios I stopped getting the BSOD.
🙂
Can be a few things - Ram fault, driver issue, overheating... and more.
CHeck those things mentioned first then download the 'sisoft sandra' testing software and run for errors.
