I didnt see the other thread being bumped since the latest episode release.
No doubt like everyone, waiting on these episodes is a bit of a chomping at the bit, that are so so interesting.

We love this. Even my wife and son who have no interest in boats or carpentry are loving it.

Great isn’t it. And if you like it I think you’ll also want to watch Acorn to Arabella.

Is the boat like the ultimate Triggers Broom?

Totally.

Leo and the team are great though. Fascinating and great skills.

Tally Ho is awesome. Acorn to Arabella also very good, but its a bit too American, all a bit nice to each other for me!!

He actually says in an early episode that it's like the Ship of Theseus, which is basically a boaty triggers broom.

I've gone right to the beginning and am binge watching them.

The best episode was milling the live oak for the frames in South Carolina. The miller Steve something had a proper southern accent.

Quite a rig he'd built himself 😯
Shame these aren't weekly.

Thanks for the bump on this, a fantastic project! I've zero experience with building wooden boats but can really appreciate the skills (and patience) shown. Also binge watching (20 episodes in so far). 😁

It's sailing.
Take any estimate, double it.
Then double it again.
And add some 'that's what I forgot'.
Then you're close.

In reality, I think this is a few hundred thousand, perhaps half a million with the labour hours.

The boat when finished will easily be worth that, plus he will have a workshop for more boats... I bet he already has some wealthy individuals offering a wedge.
