Just bought myself a Sandstrom SPDBT1612 docking station from PC World at £65

I listened to it in the store, well, as best as I could in the apocalyptic conditions of a sound department with lots of 'try me' buttons and lots of kids 😉
It sounded pretty bassy and good with the music I had installed on my phone. however, having gotten it home and playing lots of roots reggae which I tend to do, the bass just is not up to scratch, even at relatively quiet levels.

Am I expecting too much, even at £65 which I feel is a lot of money for a speaker?

Anyone got any recommendations at sensible money? I think I may take this one back...

I'm afraid you are expecting too much.

...and £65 isn't really that much for a speaker

Really?.... in my day etc...
How much should I be looking to part with to make my neighbours ears bleed?

I listened to the B&W Zeppelin & the Bose Sounddock 10, my lugs weren't good enough to notice any difference so went for the Bose as it looks better in our room (& fit better)
It was more than £65 though!
