Our imac is suffering the dreaded display fade down one side, so I'm taking it back for (hopefully) a display change.
We've been using time machine so I think we've got all our data, but should I delete the firefox file that's got all the passwords in it ? And anything else ?

Could you not just unplug the hard drive and keep it at home if its a hardware fault?
Avoids that uncomfortable "Garry Glitter" moment...
