Just been on faceache and it would appear all my virtual friends have taken a picture of the sunset and posted it up. One in particular is a very good shot!
I somehow missed it as I was jet washing the van/car!

There was a fantastic sunset as we were leaving Llandegla today.

There's been loads lately, anybody know if there's a particular reason or is it just coincidence?

Unlike the trails hey Mary? Ruined comes to mind with all the trees we've got down 😐

“Like a red morn that ever yet betokened, Wreck to the seaman, tempest to the field, Sorrow to the shepherds, woe unto the birds, Gusts and foul flaws to herdmen and to herds.”

@Wrightyson - not been out on mtb for a couple of weeks so not seen the damage yet.

Hopefully week after next I'll get some mud on my tyres.

Lots of clouds and moisture in the air, helping to show up the red light from the sun as it sets.

rocketdog (no, I'm not going to do the capitals) - those are fantastic

edit: probably the obvious question: how much photoshop jiggery pokery was involved?

Not quite sunset, but two unusual things together, a Sundog, the bright patch of sky, with a Kelvin-Helmholtz 'wave' cloud just above it. Never thought I'd see one in the UK, but I've seen two this year.
Taken from the Herepath above Avebury, with Cherhill Monument, and Morgan's Hill radio antenna on the skyline.

Actual sunset from the same place.

About twenty minutes later, subtle sunset sky in Avebury Circle. Pub in background... 😉
