I have tried to find any info on this. My van has the power steering belt, which means although I have removed the alternator I can't figure put how to remove the lower belt to be able to replace the belts, seeing as I have remove both just to replace the alternator belt!
Going mad with frustration

try 80-90 or brickwerks? I can have a look in my haynes manual, but it doesn't cover diesel, so might be slightly different.

I'll try brickwerks, as 80-90 doesn't answer it.
Haynes doesn't cover jx engines apparently

I seem to remember that the diesels are covered by the Passat Haynes of the same era?
