My oldest vinyl records are a load of T Rex stuff my dad bought me.
Just seen that most are availble on MP3 now, so listening to the samples form my fave album, The Slider.
Goodbumps or what.
Great stuff-

Erm a question then.. what music provided the soundtrack to your formative years?

I got taken to see T Rex at the B'ham Odeon in 1974 aged 9. Couldn't hear a note above the hysterical screaming but at least I can say that I saw them. Very underated guitarist IMHO.

You can even get early Tyrannosaurus Rex stuff on MP3 now, I've got loads on my phone now including full Slider & Electric Warrior albums amongst others.

I love 'em from the acoustic stuff onwards.

Mind, from my teens the four square corners of my musical initiation were: Hawkwind, Crass, The Cramps, and the 13th Floor Elevators.

BAY CITY ROLLERS ARE THE BEST.

My sister liked them and she played their stuff all the time

A fine quartet!

Mud was my other fave at the time, but I was only 10!

(btw, Christ, the Album was re-issued today)

A fine quartet indeed but hey led me off down some unusual paths in my later teen years heh.

Mud was my other fave at the time, but I was only 10!

Inner City Unit (feat. one Nik Turner of Hawkwind fame) combined 'Tiger Feet' into one of the songs they did live (memory fails me) but I'm sure it's amongst them at the Salford gig here.

(btw, Christ, the Album was re-issued today)

Is it worth getting again? (- Any new tracks/ remastered or owt?

Don't think so, just proper vinyl with a poster and booklet, all the tracks look familiar, I think.
