I know not fasionable to watch cooking shows instead of zwifting, but couldn't get out this am as planned so sat with the wife watching this which is her sunday am guilty pleasure.
And the regular host is off ill and Johnny Vegas has stood in. I've laughed so much I've cried and my sides are now sore as he's totally hijacked virtually every feature just enough to enable them to get through the script .....but only just.
If you're a fan, well worth watching on catch up. National Treasure....
This thread is useless without a torrent link....
The guy cooking the Guinea Fowl had as much personality as a wet sock though don't you think.
Saw much of it whilst clearing up in the kitchen. It was very good, even if he must be a producer's nightmare due to his uncontrollable performance. My daughter mistook him for Peter Kaye ("he's fat and funny and has a Northern accent")
Cheers, need to watch that, Johnny Vegas at his best is just glorious.
Anyone else remember Dominik Diamond's cookery gameshow, Boiling Point? TV gold, that was. A show in which contestants had to compete for ingredients so they could make their perfect dish, but at any time the other team could either steal their ingredients, or, inflict a shitty ingredient on you. So you'd be working towards your speciality Beans On Toast, for example, and then you lose a couple of rounds and your opponents steal your bread, and give you a cabbage. You lose points if you don't use all the ingredients, so beans on cabbage it is. And all watched over by malevolent presence Dominik Diamond who hates the show, hates you and hates himself for being a part in it and just wants to make the contestants cry. Absolute twisted genius.

Never heard of it, but that sounds ace.

I think he was keen on doing some self promotion about his fancy risotto stylings with guinea fowl and in the meantime all JV wanted to do was ask him about cooking guinea pig. Not how he expected it to turn out.
I thought the wine woman did brilliant in the circumstances - first time on telly and managed to keep it all together while JV was complaining that it tasted like it had had a tablet dropped in it and he was worried about waking up chained to a radiator.
I was also impressed by Rag n' Bone man, great voice. Less impressed to find that he isn't really a rag and bone man but instead comes from Uckfield and is really called Rory. Although as JV noted, I'm not going to say it to his face.
Did anyone catch from where that Moscato could be bought? My google-fu brings up only a mail-order operation, and I was expecting a supermarket source. Otherwise off to All4/4oD.
good call theonterjonv. Was a good watch. I was mightily impressed by Rag'n'Bone man.
I find Johnny to be like Nutella, I love an indulgent dessert spoon full but it soon becomes too rich and I'm happy not sample it again for a few days or even longer.
But I long for the taste and would be sad if it didn't exist anymore.
Ideal is/was one of my favourite shows.

I live in Oz, my connection turn is terrible. Using a VPN to get UK tv is so slow its unwatchable.
JV thought it was a car crash
