I always shave my beard off for our annual holiday, I just find the lack of maintenance vs hot days, relaxing and sun cream easier to deal with.

However, I'm getting the urge to do it now, before it gets congealed with Gels at the Pivot 24/12 next weekend.

Its the hot weather, right?

Depends on beard length & hair density

Post a photo and we can provide some shearing ideas

I've never understood people who say it's too hot to have a beard.

I'm stubbly for the summer, I don't understand anyone who wants a beard (and exercises) in hot weather.

A lot of you are very callous. Just think of the suffering lumberjacks and hipsters in this heat.

I can't understand anyone who doesn't grow a beard for the cold weather.*

Assuming they are genetically pre-dispositioned

They actually help to keep you cool and to stop you getting burned.

Is your beard the typical STW beard? As in not really a beard and just a month or so growth?

I am not getting that, especially when sweating your way up a hill on your bike.

Aren't they already bald or shave the top layer off to add effect?

I'll trim it it's going to hold above 30 for a couple of weeks but that's it.

I don't shave and don't have a proper beard so for the heat I trimmed what was there to grade 0 for the first time in a year or so. It's had several days growth so probably about grade 0.5 by now. I tend to treat it like my dad does his hedges.
