after getting drenched on the bike yesterday again, I'm trying to think of something to do that doesn't involve getting soaked to the skin

I'm in New Mills, so somewhere in the peak or Manchester areas I guess

I've done Chatsworth and the Manchester Museum to death

just need an idea, before I go mental

+1 for Jodrell Bank
Blue John Caverns?
Sit by a log fire in a pub all afternoon and think what might have been.
Go check out the Woodbine Cafe and rate it out of 10.

Or, there's Lyme Park - big posh house to hide in.
Quarry Bank Mill - bit of history
