Any tips for dealing with someone who keeps coming out with nonsense like "running marathons will wreck your body", "microwaves dry food out while regular ovens don't" etc?

Yes this is a female 😛

Yes this is a female I've seen your body. I think she has a point.

We need pictures in order to decide properly evaluate the stupidity/ding dong quotient.

Some idea of taste in music, propensity for faithfulness and a sample food menu would also be helpful.

Oh, and some idea of her accent would be good. 🙂

"Food cooked in a microwave makes me ill"
"32/16 is an easier gear than 50/25"
"Compacts are 3mph slower than doubles"
"Every pro in the peleton takes drugs"
Same person (waves 😀 )

It could just all be a test of course.

Although the possibility of ever passing seems to be tantalisingly out of reach.

My mum used to tell me off for using the buttons on front of the vcr in case I 'wore them out'
She was serious

I thought there was a tacit agreement not to use people's IP addresses to 'out' their location after the 'anonymous Edinburgh Uni student with piles is outed by Andy the web bloke' debacle 😉

Doesn't dry out food but it does chemically alter the water to make it bad for you.

yep, it's no longer H2O when it comes out of a microwave, possibly.

*Puts on flameproof pants*

Running marathons will wreck you. Massively admirable, and as a one or two off is acceptable, but as a long term hobby? Yes, you'll be f******. Running like that is way-off natural for the way we are.

Microwave comment is very true, how can you question that?!

EDIT: I do not know the chemical/biological aspects of this, but when did you have a 'lovely' microwaved food product? I have a natural distrust of them though, so bias.

To make matters worse you'd never know if you'd passed or failed...

You do know that that particular chestnut has been disproved time & again..

Oh,they're happy to let you know when you've failed, and they won't admit it when you've passed.

Men can only do 4 things wrong in a marriage;

1) do something
2) not do something
3) think about something
4) not think about something.

Double bluff? Triple bluff? Quadruple bluff? The thing is you never REALLY know.....

Yeah, but I can waive that if I think it's funny.

Yes 🙄

I actually struggled to find the original link due to the number of times it has been outed. Next you'll be telling me that homeopathy isn't real and Gillian Mckieth doesn't have a PhD!

Homeopathy is definitely real. It seems there's a large and very willing audience for unproven, non-scientific babble. One only has to consider religion.....

Or did you mean "homeopathy works"?
