Stands in litter tray.
Thinks 'Ok, both sets of feet in the box, time to open the bomb bay doors'.
Then, THEN, she craps all over the floor 'cos her arse is hanging over the edge of the tray.

Is this an accident or revenge for moving house and not letting her out?

Yep, you'll have p!ssed her off somehow. Time to take her for a long ride in the car before opening your own bomb bay doors. ๐Ÿ™‚

Get a dog. That should fix the cat issue.

Whether or not it fixes the crapping all over the floor issue is another matter...

Actually she may not like the litter you are using. Quite common for them to poo outside litter tray then. Try changing it.

In our case it was definitely due to stupidity. We got a cat igloo where they have to go inside to do the job. Problem solved. (but it is not the sort of thing you'd put in the kitchen....)

Love the igloo idea. You could just then tape the door shut and Fedex the whole thing to someone you don't like very much.

Edit : (with the cat inside)

Yep, ours did that a lot. We've now weaned them off the litter tray and they just use the flower beds.

cat igloo here, ours was fine when she was a kitten, but the bigger she got the further away the crap would land from the tray, so we nipped it in the bud and got the igloo.
took the stupid flappy door off it tho.

Cat now rechristened 'Bobby', at least 'till she's let out again.

At least the cat is trying to use the litter tray rather than the neighbours garden!

A friend of mine has a cat who recently had to have surgery after eating pot pourri. Cats look clever, but in fact are incredibly stupid

One of ours did that when he was young. In fact I witnessed him digging a hole in the garden the other day, standing in it and crapping outside of it.

That said, nothing surprises me with him. He's a little bit special... He stood in a cup of tea the other night.

Why would you poo in the thing you're standing in? And which mug cleaned it up afterwards?

Cats aren't all that stupid, really.

At least the cat didn't stand in the poo then walk all over the kitchen work surfaces.
