... where can I get some straight-leg (regular fit) black canvas jeans in the Leeds/Bradford area.

been out of the loop re clothes shopping for a good few years of being a fat basket, but finally getting back into shape. all my jeans are now too big, some of the stretch/comfort fit being more apt for a Madness song...

criteria: a) < £40 a pair b) not skinny fit c) zip fly d) not blue. oh, and e) 30in inside leg

Not that difficult, surely?

At that price, I'd say normal high street store - TX Maxx in Leeds city has much better mens selection than Crown Point.

Or just celebrate the weight loss and get yourself down to Flannels 🙂

MandS - best jeans ever had, (I hate jeans btw), dont feel like jeans at all, quite light, good fit, have some sort of anti-muck treatment. The black ones look pretty smart.

had a look on uniqlo site. the only black ones they had were (a) skinny fit and (b) 32in or 34in leg

so they failed on 2 counts.

anyway, just found an old pair of wrangler jeans (black) in the wardrobe in the size I was looking for 🙂 problem solved

Matalan.

Seriously worth a look, jeans for £12 that look fine. Obviously won't appeal to the selvedge retro don't wash them for 6 months brigade, but at least you don't smell like a tramps cock.

Matalan out of stock in my size (Greengates & Rooley Lane) - all they have left are 30in waist (I wish) or 42in waist (even at my fattest I was not THAT size) in Lee/Wrangler regular fit, or comfort fit (baggy) in my size.
Or 'Easy' jeans in stretch, but these are the exact same baggy things I'm trying to replace...

For jeans they're usually my first port of call but they're running the summer collection at the mo

Next don't do black, I've looked. same with TK Max jumble sale.

might have a look in JJ in Keighley

There was a "Geordie Jeans"chain in the '80's.
I am fairly sure that is what they are lampooning. Guess they are no longer trading/brand name owned by anyone who cares.

I was sure Uniqlo do black in different cuts including straight - they do loads of colour/cut combos. Might only be in the shop, not online, though? 😕
