I was going to post something relevant but I really don't know where to start.

Too many examples to choose from.

What are we supposed to be getting mad at? "Humourous" potato-chopped photos? I don't think they're exclusive to the UK.

Ok forget the photo's, it was an example. A photoshopped example.

Take todays news for another example:

Snow In Winter Shock horror!

Yes yes, ice age comparisons are covered on another thread before you mention it....

I saw a massive temporary "Cyclists dismount" sign on the opposite side of the road to a small set of roadworks the other day. It was totally unnecessary (no bike lane, no extra hazard to cyclists), and oddly enough when I came back the other way it had mysteriously been knocked over despite being weighed down with sandbags and it not being very windy.

I'd not mind the 'Cyclists dismount' signs if there were a few 'Dopey pedestrians wake up' and 'Motorists stop being complete **** dicks' signs to balance it out a bit.

I always translate "Cyclists dismount" in my head to "The person who designed this 'facility' is completely incompetent".

I am going to start collecting those cyclists dismount signs and relocate them to even sillier places

No. It was a good example of people overacting to something on the internet.

I just looked on my Facebook and a friend of mine (name with held for the inevitable backlash) has updated her status with 'Who let all the ****s out on the road today'.
A few comments later she states 'Some bellend just pulled out in front of me and then had the cheek to have a go at me!!'.
I asked her if she was updating her Facebook at the time of said incident...............

The silence speaks volumes ๐Ÿ™„

Fear not, i have told her off!!

A genuine example similar to the Keep off the grass one above;

Some friends of mine bought a terraced house.
It had two steps up to the front door, directly off the pavement.
It had a bay window which extended to the pavement.
The 18" triangle of grass between the steps, bay window and pavement was described by the estate agent as a "Short foregarden"

Government: "To qualify for our Green Initiative bonus you must provide at least 5km of new traffic-free cycle routes."
