Depends where you are and how long you've got. MTBing up the Feldberg in the Taunus, lovely loop, or breakfast on the Fressgass in the centre? One of the museums by the river Main?

Goethe's house, museum of modern art? Later in the day plenty of jazz bars.

I've heard Germany do beer these days, not sure if it's any good as not really sure it's their thing.

I'm sure it is. The German word for beer could be almost anything.

Never fear, beer will be consumed, but not until later

I am near the festhalle if that helps

Then if you liked the first one
'Noch ein Bier, bitte'

Repeat until falling down.

Go and ride a tram or bus until you see something interesting.

I used to spend a lot of time on my own in foreign cities and that was my plan if I was there for a weekend. Normally I had a Lonely Planet with me 🙂

The natural history museum Senckenberg is 2 min North from you, the area around the Westend and the Alte Oper is 10min by foot to your East, go there for the above mentioned beer, or one of the best swimming pools that I know of is the Rebstockbad 10min by foot to the West (you can buy your Speedos there, try not to get lost in the pools).

Frankfurt is also famous for its cider or Apfelwine .

Seek out one of these places .

For beer , there is a fanatsbar at the top of the tallest building . The old police station in the centre is good . Or you could try the Botanical Gardens . It has a great Cafe .
