can anyone recommend one please ? we are thinking about taking out a chimney, roof to ground and removing an inner wall which will require probably some steel joisting.. cheers

I used Blueprint CAD Ltd in Leigh before. One man band, but he ran structural calcs, did CAD drawings and submitted plans to building control for us.
He was perfect for our loft conversion, and I would recommend him, although I don't think he is a qualified structural engineer... more of an ex building inspector that has learnt how to use CAD and run structural software packages.
If he's one man, who checks his calculations? If he's not qualified, is he insured? Running software without the underlying knowledge (which he may or may not have) is dangerous.One man band... don't think he is a qualified structural engineer... learnt how to use CAD and run structural software packages.
