I've just run out of strimmer line, which was probably too lightweight for the size/output of my machine. I've googled it and cant find an answer. What size line should I use for a 40cc strimmer?

G is being a bit abrupt, and is suggesting that you 'Read The F-ing Manual'.
However, I can save you the bother. I use 2.5mm line in my 30cc strimmer. 3.00mm line will see you fine. You can also buy square section stuff- it's brilliant.
Thanks Ambrose. The line I was using was 2.8mm. I've got a jungle of nettles to clear. So I'll give the 3.00mm stuff a try.
