Any good?
I'm maybe a bit late asking, just bought tickets for the Glasgow screening on Thursday. 🙂
Please make me excited about going to see it....
I enjoyed it, dirt jump scene is very cool, a nicely shot film with bikes ridden well, what's not too like.
When I watched the screening of "Follow Me" they decided to show "Seasons" first.
That meant that everyone was buzzing after their favourite Whistler bike park scene in Seasons, only to be rather underwhelmed by Follow Me.
If it wasn't for the fact that the Hyde Park cinema let us bring beer in, I would have been more cheesed off.
went to watch this last night in Glasgow.
meh, it was good but a bit like Follow Me, didn't really get me hooked. It was beautifully shot, but not as much as say LifeCycles, and had great riding, but not as good as Seasons. Maybe I'm just being fussy, but I also thought it was a bit disjointed the way random quote just kept appearing on the screen and then it would cut to new segment.
Plus, there's a HUGE amount of advertising at the start (about 5-10 mins) and then it seems to be a big advertising ****fest throughout, which is fine, but for the fact the DVD will cost you £25.
The jump scene was cool. It was nice to watch people riding bicycles in slow motion for an hour (directors really like filming people doing big skids in loose dirt on HD cameras and then slowing it down 10x eh?).
Most interesting bit was where Mrs Peterfile decided to use the emergency exit right next to the screen as her route to the toilet mid film, which meant the attendant had to run down the stairs and chase her to bring her back. 🙂
I didn't like Follow Me when I watched it the first few times but then started to love it.
£10 for the HD version on iTunes.
yeah, i've just realised that i don't think I liked even my favourite MTB films the first time I saw them.
NOTHING beats waking up at 6.30am on a Saturday in good weather, making a load of coffee and watching Seasons etc for a hour until your mates start waking up and then heading out for an epic day 🙂
I think I'd probably prefer MTB films on the big screen AFTER i've got to like them on DVD. if that makes any sense at all?
