Strange Christmas Fair food

Last year I got some rather decent sausage rolls from a lady at the local Christmas Fair.

Got some again this year, 1 of which was a black pudding variety.

However, it wasn't a "sausage" roll at all, it was a chunk of about 6 oz of black pudding wrapped in pastry.

Now I do like black pudding but that was inedible.

Never seen or heard of similar before.

Sounds odd - in my experience black pudding sausage rolls usually just have some of the black pudding in with the sausage meat.

And I have a fair bit of experience.....

I once got some slices of ‘beef bacon’ from a Christmas market. Thin slices of cured beef that fried up like bacon. It was delicious but I’ve never seen it again.

Sounds a bit like a black pudding from the chippie. Probably best warm.
