Anyone got an idea what's happened here.
Powercut in the street mid-evening. Since the heating and water back on, weird drop in temp on both.
Wondered why the heating wasn't on, even though the boiler (old style, not combi) was on and lit up.
Turns out if I crank the thermostat up to 30 the heating comes on.
Also same with the water - shower not hot unless I set it 6+ degrees up from where it was before.

What's broken?

Any of it smart, reset the smart sensors etc ? Got a dumb system here with a timer and thermostat.

All completely dumb and ancient. 80s system I think. Thermostat is still one of those click-slide jobs! I'll try replacing that first - just not sure how it could've affected the water. Shower is new - pump in the loft with remote temp control outside the shower.

I'd try switching off and on to reset - see if the pump is working

Yeah did that, turned boiler off, turned power off to boiler. And back on, all lit up correctly.

Is there another pump in the system somewhere and the fuse has gone? Although I'd expect the boiler to know and turn off if that was the case.
I'm really not a plumber and don't honestly have a clue.

Ok, cheers. Guess I'll have to get someone in after Christmas. Least it all still actually works I guess. Can I send the bill to the electrical sods who killed my power?? 😛
