Why am I keeping them?

Put them in the loft or take them down the recycling?

I try and offload them to friends but usually they end up in the blue bin with the amazon boxes. I used to keep them all lined up on the shelf but finally realised I'm not 14 absorbing MBUK and that when I've read them once that's it.

Having just binned a few years worth, I was expecting this to be a sods law "anyone got any?" request.

I think I have from about issue 10 or 11 to today (with a small gap). I do find it difficult to ditch nice mags. Still have all the Mountain Bike Worlds, a fair few MBRs and some IMB issues in the loft!

This is why I have every issue of Privateer and Cranked on my shelves. Unfortunately, every so often - like once a year or so - I'll flick through one, fail to find anything interesting to read and wonder whether to take them to the tip. The bit that made them nice in the first place - lack of ads - makes them far less interesting these days. I love an old advert!

I have never really understood "nice" magazines.

Once they are read they are still just disposable items.

Yeah. The problem I have is if they look and feel book-like I just can't throw them in the recycling. I'll give them to other people to read, but not throw them out.

Prompted me to look on the bay. They are actually selling. Recent ones for a couple of quid. Some twenty year old ones on there for a tenner ish no idea if they'll sell.

When I got the paper mag, I used to put the latest copy I had where other magazines gather when convenient. The local dentist had a couple of copies and a few random European hotel rooms/lounges were gifted one too.

The content aswell though.

Like a review of a... Santa Cruz superlight from 2006.... Going to talk about how amazing it handles...

No longer current and frames of reference are just gone.

I’ve never understood how people think differently from other people either. What a bizarre world we live in. I once saw an old dress someone had kept worth 1000s on Antiques Roadshow… I never keep old clothes!

Digital fans. We’ve just added the entire back catalog of mags into the Pocketmags app. Historically weve not been able offer back issues in the app as part of your sub. But we can now. Fill yer boots.

In "filters" you can tick the "sold items" box to see what's recently sold. You may not see the exact prices

I gave mine to the local outdoor center, full suite from No.1 to around No. 140.

Given the STW demographic I was expecting this to be another argument about osteopaths vs voltarol
