1. Post two short lines of dialogue (ie a conversation), written in any regional (UK) dialect with which you are well-acquainted. Correct spelling not allowed, obviously. Spell it 'eggzACKtlee azit sowndz'*

2. If you can guess someone else's, then quote it in reply and then re-type the dialogue underneath in (as close as can be) correct English, along with the guessed location.**

* ie:

P1: amyowgodsaft?
P2: ar-ahmussbee-ar...

**Guess it at town/village level = mega-win-triple-bonus

@woody

Correct with the translation but South Cumbria though I suspect it's fairly similar to North Cumbria and Northumberland.

I'll have a go.

P1: Do you have any glass soft drink bottles?

P2: Rammies? Oh! You mean glass soft drink bottles?

I'll say that P2 is from Motherwell, and P1 is from somewhere adjacent. I'll guess Wishaw, but might be Hamilton or Bellshill.

Sooo close. 😉

Rammies are a Coatbridge / Airdrie thing.

Hectors are a Motherwell / Wishaw thing.
