How long do whiplash injuries take to heal, generally?
I was rear-ended (in the car!) at the back end of last year and was diagnosed with a whiplash injury - my shoulder / back though rather than the usual neck complaint. I saw it coming and put my head back on the headrest, but it seems that I must've braced up against the wheel so it's jarred all down my arm.
My shoulder's still sore, and I've had a sore hand / thumb for ages which I've just realised this morning is probably from the same incident; it all lines up with how my hand would've been on the wheel.
Is it a case of MTFU as it takes ages to heal, or should I be going back to the doctor? What do we think?
power band on the affected arm should help

medical FACT.
That could result in a power imbalance ๐
most will be done in 6 months to a year. some can be permanent.
don't know about the doc but you might want to see a physio.
Can take ages (months). The more you work at getting it going again, the quicker it gets better. Analgesia and physio might help with this....
(There are papers if you can be arsed to look, but this is the gist)
Cheers, some people. (-:
Essentially, it's normal, I've not got the bad AIDS or anything. That's put my mind at rest at least. Ta.
