They've landed that reusable booster.

How about that inflatable module too?
Yes saw that link the landing is pretty cool
That's properly gangster. Well done Elon...
Andre Norton coined a phrase for that "fin point landing".
That's damned impressive! The inflatable room it delivered is pretty cool too.
Welcome to the future earthlings ๐
Sheeeesh, that's properly, properly cool.
Yep, saw this on instagram, absolutely superb ๐
My little brain struggles with the amount of computing power that must be involved to get it to do that party-trick, so damned quickly.
It's also the controllability of the rocket, being able to throttle it back in reliable, consistent way.
I love the way it just goes nicely vertical a fraction before it lands. Really cool! ๐
Oh and bear...why aren't you out blowing your winnings on hookers and coke? ๐
NASA look like a bunch of (comparative) underachievers! Great to see the progress they're making.
That landing was soooo fast ๐ฏ , none of this buggering about with side thrusters and and a slow landing....left a bit.....right a bit......oooo to far-left!.....**** left!....... Phew!......hold steady down...whoa!, hold steady ffsake!!!!!!....ohh bollocks.
That landing was a case of Bosh!, job done....what's for tea?.
Very cool ๐
What stops it falling over once it landed? It's a really tall rocket on a unmanned boat rolling about in waves and stuff.
There's a manned boat a safe distance away, once they get the all-clear they board the drone ship and tether it down for the trip back.

It's got an extremely low centre of gravity as the top section is essentially an empty fuel tank and the bottom has the rather heavy engines in it.
Once it's landed, a team secure it to the deck of the drone ship by welding the feet to the ship then it's towed back to the Florida coast.
I still can't help thing that parachutes would be cheaper and easier ๐
However, just a marvelous piece of engineering/science to achieve that feat, sometimes we humans do some good and clever stuff.
I bet those welders are on some rate!
Sorry to spoil everyone's fun but they've just played the blast off video backwards and you all fell for it ๐
Looks like an expensive toy,
they should've got our PM to sort it out, hes an expert at parking millions offshore?

It has legs that unfold just before it lands to cushion the impact of landing and support the rocket (you can see them flip out at about 0:06 in the video).
Very clever stuff.
hey should've got our PM to sort it out, hes an expert at parking millions
Unfortunately true!
Dragon is set to arrive at the ISS at midday today...
