Keep us posted on what you think, to me it seems the key will be what apps are developed

Not ordered one yet but watching with interest - will definitely buy one if you can install Kodi or Plex on it!

Plex are working on a ported app but no mention of availability and if you need to be a plus pass member.

Scheduled delivery in three days.

First time I've gone down this route but can only see benefits so far.

64GB version too..

Will there be an app which will allow the apple tv to connect to a nas box and stream to tv or are we relying on plex to come up with something?

Been reading a bit more tonight. Apparently you can natively stream from an iTunes server or from a Plex server via an app which is already available (Simplex). Will you be able to connect directly to a NAS and just play files off it? Unlikely with an official app. However Apple have recently made it much simpler to sign code to run on your own devices (without jailbreaking) so I'm sure there will be an "enthusiasts" solution e.g. Kodi at some point. Either way it all sounds very promising.
