So what's the deal, as some colleagues complaining at office soup eating etiquette.

Soups in the bowl, do I: -

Eat with spoon only
Eat with spoon and also some drinking from the bowl
Drink from bowl only, leaving bits in bottom, then eat with spoon
Drink all from bowl, including bits

It's Co-Op Chicken and Veg Broth btw

Eat with spoon and mop up any bits and the end of the liquid with bread.

Spoon only, scooping to the back of the bowl. Have you no etiquette?

I don't care really, but please make sure you eat it in the canteen rather than bring it back to your desk and stink the office out like a colleague here used to do.

I think the worst etiquette mistake you made was having shop-bought soup.

From what I've observed, you use a spoon and don't forget to let a bit dribble down your chin, no napkin.. a few soup stains on your shirt and trousers are mandatory, and accompany every spoonful with a loud SLUUUUURPING noise, and leave random splashes on the table around the bowl..

Break up a crusty bread roll into bite size pieces into the soup, stir and drink from the bowl making sure a crouton comes your way with each slurp.

I think your biggest mistake is not telling your colleagues to wind their necks in whilst you're on lunch.
