Just trying to access some Glastonbury footage via the iPlayer app on the Tele, but a system error msg comes up saying not enough system memory.
Anyone had similar and know of a quick fix?
Got the iPlayer going on PS4 for now so I'll consult the manual later when I can be arsed!
I've had that a couple of times recently on our Sony, but exiting out of the smarts then restarting it works for me. iPlayer seems a large and complex app recently, it is pretty much unusable on our NowTV box.
Not a great help sorry, but the extra power of the PS4 might be the best solution.
Have you tried turning it off and back on again?
We have a Sony TV and this problem seems to be par for the course with iPlayer now. Happens almost every time we use it.
It seemed to get a lot worse after they brought in the need for a TV licence to watch iPlayer, maybe a coincidence, but I'm guessing they upgraded the app at that time and it's not playing well with some TVs.
Well that's rubbish then! There's a separate issue where all the app's don't load up so we can't select them. Fortunately we only really use Netflix and iPlayer so they still appear in recent history menu. Will just get into the habit of using the PS4 then
Before it was effectively ubiquitous, I always recommended an external box for "smart" features for exactly this reason. It's easier to upgrade a £30 box than a £600 TV.

Absolutely this! So far my Bravia is still working perfectly, but if I had to replace it, I'd be looking at sets without smart functions if at all possible, if not they'd be disabled from the start.
