Bought a Sony camera and claimed my £50 "cashback" in the form of a prepaid card. For last 7 months I have tried this card everywhere. "You can use it just like a normal Visa and they take it anywhere that Visa is accepted" was the advice after a phonecall.
Just tried to use it again with Chain Reaction. As per usual...declined.
This is neither cashback which means CASH nor is it like a Visa. Only play it's worked is crappy Tesco and I only used it there to try and get cashback.
Anyone have similar travailles?
Got one from Nikon. Used it without any problem.
online probably wont like it as it isn't tied to an address. If it works in tesco, go to tesco, do your weekly shop and use the card, take the £50 you've saved from using the card and buy some stuff you don't need from CRC. Simple!
Tried it in an ATM?
Have a Mastercard Pre-Paid Euros card for holidays, only works in cash machines where you can use Cirrus and in shop terminals.
