£1.49 eh? Well bugger me, I've finally worked out who you really are. All this time I've likened you to Alan Rickman as the Sheriff of Nottingham...

...when actually you are Tyneside's most treasured family man...

Must say I was really tempted by this, only £100, although you'd obviously have to add the LED lights and the motorised doors/engine cover.

I don't approve of adults playing with children's toys, unless a child is present. Therefore I will donate NOTHING.

Whatever happened to LEGO being bricks that you built stuff out of rather than a set of proprietory shaped parts that just click together to make a half arsed airfix model?

We still do it constantly, building different things, this week it Hogwarts castle... last week was a Minecraft house, week before was Minecraft furniture....

However, we still have several 'big' items like the X Wing, Millenium Falcon etc that are built and not being taken apart.

People keep saying that TINAS but it's not really true, is it? I mean you still get blocks in kits but you also get plenty of not-blocks parts but they get used for other things - I just find (ahem, my son finds...) that they allow building of cooler models which is what lego is all about. Admittedly you may need to buy more kits to get those general blocks but you can also buy tehm fairly cheap, by the kilo on ebay which I didn't have in my day...

The irony of that statement on a forum dedicated to something that 99% of the world regards as a child's toy...
