Does anyone use or can recommend any software that monitors/lists Internet activity?

The Netgear router in use blocks sites but does not show logs or activity.

The software would be used to list all sites that have been visited by 2 young girls that have been caught doing & looking at sites they shouldn't be.

Ideally it should show the history/activity of all laptop & devices that are using the net connection.

other than the blocking tool on the router, Netgear dont have activity logs for most home routers.

Any software you install on the home computer will only record activity that that PC has made, not other devices using the router.

Set up the router to use "OpenDNS FamilyShield"
http://www.opendns.com/home-solutions/parental-controls

"Follow our detailed instructions for your wireless router's settings, then choose the content you want to block. OpenDNS takes effect across your entire household immediately โ€“ from your family computer to your kids' gaming console. Because OpenDNS Internet parental controls also provide you insight into which websites are being visited on your home network, the service allows you to easily discover new problem websites. If you see an inappropriate website appear in your account statistics you can quickly and easily block the site and, if you wish, the category of content to which that site belongs."

Second microsoft family safety.
We also use Open DNS for filtering all our web traffic, the free one so far. Seems to work well, but not 100%.
We also insist on web access in public rooms (lounge, dining room, desk in hallway) and will continue to do so for us and our kids for as long as we can.

How does that work for portable devices matt?
Or do you just not let them on the network at all?

slightly more complex than you need, but I am using pfSense on an old PC as my router/firewall/cache and that runs squidguard and logs everything
