I'll be putting my usual safe-as-houses bet on him getting booked

Edit: just had a look at the odds...

11/10

๐Ÿ˜† I've stuck a few quid on. It's like betting that night will follow day

Ok apart from the fouling Fellaini dead cert, predictions for the big clash tonight?

I have scouse supporting son back briefly from Uni tonight so we may be biased, but as a neutral I have supported both teams in the past. Tough call but I dislike The Special One so:

Klopp's masters to win 2:1

Fellaini first booking - minutes 23:25 spread

Neville's attempts at neutrality to be abandoned - minutes 3;5 spread

Time for grub and drink first. Enjoy

I find Klippety very likeable but in an ideal world both teams would lose ๐Ÿ˜€

In reality a booking strewn high scoring draw with lots of farce, bad refereeing decisions and comical defending would be great.

This page might warm up too...

One red card and a penalty?

I think I've made a decision...Liverpool 3. Man Utd 0

Prefer 0-0 though! ๐Ÿ™‚

If I was playing for the Oppo at Anfield (ditto England rugby at Cardiff) I would want to sneak out and listened to You'll Never Walk Alone (or LOMF) as I reckon it would inspire rather than intimidate.

United to win 3-1 or 3-2. All United goals scored from corners, or Ashley Young crosses. sideshow Bob to get at least one, before getting sent off for Pollaxing Sturridge, who will break a fingernail and be out until January when he makes his debut for Stoke.

Zlatan to get on the scoresheet too.

Sturridge to hurl himself to the floor every time anyone comes near him

A Liverpool win please, love Klopp and respect the club. Man U handicapped by having the over-rated one as manager

Spurs rolling along not playing that well but still third, would have been second had Foster not had such a strong game

Good ref - booking young for being a whiney shite running to the ref all the time

Shame if that is one of the highlights though

Well it's not pretty. Hair'n'elbows and Herrera have controlled the midfield comfortably, and stopped 'em playing, and he's not even had to clobber anyone yet. My bet is looking dodgy at this rate. I look forward to the return of mindless violence in the second half

Utd playing better than I expected.

Personally I'd drag Sturridge off at half time, his heart doesn't seem to be in it

Certainly looking more like 0-0 than 3-0 currently

A Liverpool clean sheet! I think both teams will be happy enough with a point. Turgid affair and I can't see Sturridge starting much from now on - just not a Klopp player and Liverpool looked far better when he was hooked. Shame, as he's such a talented player.

I just don't get this at all. He was briefly flattered by being the considerably lesser talent in an awesome strike partnership. He's done nowt since apart from hand sick notes in and sulk. oh... and dive. A lot!

He seems to believe his own hype. Clearly Klopp doesn't. Liverpool looked better instantly once he'd been taken off. Personally I'd be happy to see him stay, and start every game ๐Ÿ˜‰

Goals per game ratio is pretty decent Binners - and there aren't many strikers about who can score goals like the one v Sevilla in the Europa League final. There also aren't many strikers about as flimsy as a paper bag.

man city trying to make us look not so rubbish again? ๐Ÿ˜†

re us, gladbach just outclassed us, though if not for 2 terrible mistakes we'd have held out. gladback very good back to 18yard box, seem to have very little creativity upfront.

If Hart was in goal for Citeh tonight they would only have lost by 3 goals.

That result puts the Celtic drubbing into perspective, City result is WAY worse, given the resources they have and the fact they are top of the 'Best league in the world'....

Man City have had a fairly easy PL start though, out of the 8 games they've played they have 5 wins against teams in the bottom half, including all in the bottom 3. There record against teams in the top half reads 1W, 1D 1L.

Everyone is focused on Bravo's mistake last night, but why was Aguero who is arguably the best goal scorer in the PL on the bench?

Are you trying to say Citeh aren't a top Prem side and their position is false?

Possibly time will tell, but they've only beaten one top 10 team so far this season. Everyone else have been bottom half of the table. So far their record looks little different from last season.

Tottenham deserved to beat city, but the game was a lot closer than many made out to be. They battered Everton who were very very lucky to get a draw. Even last night for a lot of the game they actually played pretty well, it was just some individual silly errors that cost them.

Although Messi does make playing well look so easy, with Ronaldo going into the box with 2 defenders on him it would be "stepover, stepover, misdirect, send the defenders the other way, pirouette and bury the ball in the net" With Messi 1 second the ball is at his feet, there are 2 defenders blocking his way, and then the ball is in the net, and you are left thinking how the **** did he do that, it is like there is a 2 second gap in your memory.

I only saw the extended highlights but I though city did well. Teams always great chances against Barca , they just didn't take any! Which I know sound silly. That stones header, he really should have buried that , it's 1-1, bravo doesn't get sent off and who knows .

An alternative view is they've shipped 10 goals in the last 4 games, that's not winning anything form.

Well its great news for the Prem that City aren't quite the side everyone thought they were this season. Gives us a chance at least!

Amazing that Messi scored his 37th hat trick last night for Barca....incredible stat!

What would the score have been on a bad day then?

they were well beaten but there were times when they were holding their own against Barca and they were doing ok till Brava had his moment
Even the most ardent city fan knows they are not in barcas league but they did at least go there and try rather than park the bus.

I remember United getting turned over 4-0 at the Nou Camp back in 94. Back when having foreigners in your team was frowned upon (the irony).
Return leg was 2-2. Lee sharp back heel equaliser.

So, you know, there's a chance.

Well so much for my tip for the prem this year, A 4-0 drubbing at Chelski....that's gotta hurt!

Still, only a point between the top five after nine games, so shaping up for a great year.

Me and Binnerette no.1 were slightly disgruntled that we couldn't watch the match (despite sitting through Monday's bore-fest) as my mum had booked us a table for Sunday lunch at 4.30. We listened to the first 20 minutes in the car on the way there, and didn't seem too bothered any more.

Hey ho though. At least City didn't win (and neither did Spurs or the Arse). Though that doesn't mean we won't get a spanking on Wednesday too ๐Ÿ˜•

It's shaping up into an interesting season. No-one looks that consistent
