The kids left Santa a tasty looking pork pie which I've just wrestled out of our labradors mouth.

Eldest (dear daughter) just headed off to bed after chatting with us for the last 30 mins with us in bed. Laddo has got the lip as I told him his stocking has to stay on the door handle (because it's a lot easier that way) rather than on his bed. Took them to the pub this afternoon for some good grub after a senseless 90 mins of killing at laser quest.

Hmmm. I'm not convinced that my daughter really believes any more...

We've just put an empty plate out for Santa. Santa was rather hoping for a mince pie and a tipple.

13 year old was told as he went to bed that his mum hasn't found his stocking this year but we did find his sister's. Proper sulky teen face!

I've just stood in the garden and rattled sleigh bells for ages then I built a drum kit.
No peace on earth for me then.

Ours* are in the shed. We're knackered but the kids are still moving about.

*Presents, not kids. Although it gives me an idea for next year.

2 (nearly 3) year old here. I honestly think I'm more excited about his presents that he is. Dude's a cool customer.

Stocking presents are the best. Mrs S has as many as the kids do! I bloody love buying stocking fillers.

MIL has just been on the phone her oven has broke so I've been around for the chicken. 11lb of chicken, bag tatties and parsnips weighs a bloody lot.

On the bright side I now get to cook the Sirloin to my liking.

The Christmas ninja has recovered presents from loft, car boot and garage, silent stuffed them into stockings, crumbled mince pie crust, bitten carrot, drunk milk (kids don't want Santa to overdose) and then collapsed with well earned coffee 🙂

Love some of the comments here, mine are 12 and 6 and still going strong, reckon my 6 will rumble before 12 yo does 😉

Done the loft recovery.
Skipped around the garden with sleigh bells;
Call out from 9 year old: "Has he been yet?"
- "Don't be silly he's probably still over South Africa - get back to bed."

Will get a drink before penning replies to letters.

The 12yo understands it's in his interest to "believe" and is humouring you 😉

Hiding them in the house in the run up is one of the great things. Especially when the boxes are big

"We should leave Santa some warm milk and honey."
"I think Santa would really prefer a glass of whisky."
"Whisky? You can't give him whisky! He's driving!"

😀

Santa had a large glass on Amarone in this house. Delivered early. Has anyone else noticed how Santa puts the best present at the bottom of the present pile?

Bollox!! That was close! I may have had a little Santa snoozette whilst perusing singletrack! Thankfully I woke up to dish the presents out in the lounge and stocking in to the bedrooms. One thing I have noticed is the present pile gets smaller the older they get.
Anyhow, merry Christmas stw to you and yours x

All done and now finishing off a wee glass of Balvenie although I had to pour it myself as somebody thought Santa would enjoy milk more...
Only the 10 year old knows as he confessed a couple of months ago, the 8, 6 & 4 year olds are still going strong though!

Santa has eaten his mince pie, drank the milk and left snow footprints whilst rudoplhs knawed the carrot.

Our 4 yr old was fit to burst this evening. Gawd knows what time he will get up.

A very tired Santa here!

Finally got presents done at 1.30 am. 15 year old daughter could not get to sleep. Kids back up at 6.40am.

I predict a major snooze after dinner,
