Thanks for all the suggestions when I asked...in the end we (well, my wife and kids) chose an Australian Labradoodle. AKA the world's most expensive mongrel ๐Ÿ˜‰

Here she is...

Good work! Someone at work has a labradoodle who looks just like that. She's really well behaved, but suffers really badly from seperation anxiety. I'm sure it's an isolated case, but I'd be mindful of giving her some time away from you, so she gets used to it.

We've not long adopted a Jack Russell; 16 weeks old now. We've been taking her to proper training classes, and she's responded really well. I can't recommend them enough.

I hope she doesn't give you too much trouble!

She is called Amber

[img] [/img]

She was fine last night (bed at 10.30, we woke her up at 6.45). She didn't piss the bed, but has pissed pretty much everywhere else! Going to leave her on her own for an hour or so tomorrow during the day.

Enjoy the 'chewing everything in and out of site' stage.
Cute pup.

Dogs often resemble the owner ๐Ÿ˜‰

Nice Pup, shift your guitar before she either chews it or pisses on it.

Oh she is lovely!!

We have a "doodle" Labrador mum Standard Poodle dad. We'd been looking at Pups for a while, abs I went for a look after work! Great dog amazing with the kids, but loves to be with you all the time which is a Lab thing I think. He's happy in his crate for a couple of hours or so post walk. Just a lovely friendly dog as every one Ive met is.

But chewed everything as a pup!!!......everything!!!

Awwwwww cute pup. i'm guessing the green crap is supposed to be relish of some kind. If so, the plastic version will probably taste better.

Well, all going well so far. She's lively, friendly and inquisitive...but I can't predict the poos.

You need to be careful with any dog that is part Labrador Retriever.

Even more if they are pure Labrador

Try teaching her the 'Toilet time' words
I would always tell my girl 'Pee pee time' and take her out. praised her when she went toilet outside. also watched how she acted (restless).

I'd advise crate training for a puppy in toilet training. It becomes their safe place too.

My cocker spaniel is 1 1/2 now, and puts himself to bed in his crate every night.

Father in law trains guide dog pups and they use the words 'Busy Busy' which we adopted and although you make sound a loon in the garden keep saying it until she goes to begin with and then rewarding her, it doesn't take long for the dog to see the link between the words and toilet time.
