Trying to get over the fact that the NHS seemed to have screwed up my funding. Let's say it's not been a great day... 😐

Wanting to play Skyrim but Catfleesette is watching TV. So I'm deciding what spec I would like on my new bike and looking at a new car on autotrader on my painfully slow phone connection. I'm very happy, just had a nice big paycheck 🙂

Wow, exciting. Anywhere exotic?

I've just put the boys to bed and am awaiting the arrival of Mr Nich with my fish and chips 😀 And drinking a large glass of wine...

Working out how much I've frittered away secretly pigging out on Xmas bargains that were meant for friends and family. Seriously considering put a padlock on the cupboard with the little that's left and giving the key to my Mum until Xmas.

already? won't it be a little, er, "young"?

I did the beer - Brupaks Fixby Gold, 18 litres of it, then I racked another demijohn of pinot grigio. Second racking to get it off what's left of the lees, should be good to bottle next weekend

all very rock'n'roll I assure you 😉 at least it's not cheese

Hanging around on here while the kids are having a danceathon in the living room before bed, then off to the neighbours for copious Rioja, macademas and chat.

Honest answer emsz is eventually, yes it might. It's just that mentally I was preparing myself for everything in February and to have the rug pulled from under my feet has *really* messed me up. Burst into tears at work and everything. I thought I was really good with dealing with it all by now but it's all gone a bit wrong.

I was only arranging my mum to stay for a few weeks at lunchtime today to look after me. Now I don't know whats going on...

nich3000/ton - Nowhere exotic, am off to Luxembourg. Looks like loads of good riding on and off road though (and a load of uplift assisted bike parks within a reasonable distance).

The kids are in bed, the missus is watching Glee, and I'm tossing back San Migs in an effort to numb the pain in my ears from the TV.

Yeah - parents are down here Sunday, emsz - will be really good to see them. 🙂

I'm just annoyed with myself for 'letting my guard down'. I knew this whole thing would be an emotional challenge but I never expected the only group of people that would make it hard would be those that are *supposed* to be facilitating things. Seriously, it's a fight at every turn...

Unfortunately, it's not all hanging around nice houses in the countryside, drinking wine and taking limos into Soho.. 😉

I'll be okay - I just need to get it out of my system. Thanks em.

Rachel

Working 🙁 Trying to finish off writing up a journal article on physical activity and health benefits, so I can head off out into the mountains tomorrow.

Rachel - really sorry to hear that. There's nothing worse than having your hopes raised only to be let down. I think we're at opposite sides of the UK, otherwise I'd offer to meet for a ride or something, but instead virtual hugs comning your way.

Emsz - high five!

Drinking sauv. blanc, while simultaneously trying to supervise daughter's use of Twitter, son's surfing of eBay for Lego minifigs, and watch Man Lab on iPlayer.
It's way past all of our bedtimes.

Mrs is on the phone, waiting for M&S 'dine in for £10' to cook, then later play on garage band, just downloaded app on ipod yesterday....had a little play so far....how much fun!! Then maybe get up early and catch a short ride, then see Jamie at High Peak cycles about a tasty Hope R4 light..

About to head out for a night ride in Maryland, followed by cooking steak on a bonfire, lubricated with Sam Adams Winter Lager and Clynelish.

It's going to be pleasantly freezing. Can. Not. Wait! 😀

Edited as I didn't know that was on the naughty list... 😳

Hey scamper 8 week old snooring gently sounds like my first born (she slept through from 8 weeks until today, aged 9!!), watch out for number 2 (assuming this is number one for you) he first slept through age 3.5 years!

Chatting to mate in Ireland on the Book of Faces

Paolo Nutini on the iTunes

Portuguese red in the glass (for six quid it's a corker)

Pizza in the belly = happiness

Knee still throbbing from a "mild tumble" this morning. Wet leaves, manhole covers, sharp corners and inattention a poor mix.

Admiring the beauty of a Thomson seatpost clamp.

Rachel - sorry to hear your bad news and do hope it can get resolved sooner. It must be so stressful for you, take care of yourself and get out on your bike no matter what the weather is doing.

Be positive and be strong. 🙂

I can report I am now well pissed after some of these:
