Okay, I'll try to explain...

It is a perfectly natural part of life to have opinions on others and how they are behaving. Even I looked at the photos and felt that she was trying to create a reaction of some sort in the people who might look at the things she is selling. They are certainly 'different' images!

I can only speak for myself but, if I was behaving in a provocative way, like the images linked show (really tight clothes, chopped head, showing LOTS of cleavage etc etc) then I don't think I could moan about people mocking that.

However, to use terms above like 'is a transgender' as opposed to just 'woman' IS offensive to me. [b] It is objectifying and dismissing the entire identity of someone that you don't even know.[/b]

I'm absolutely sure people on here do not intend to cause offence. I know that, when I have been along to Pootles in the past, I have been welcomed with open arms and met some really lovely people. I don't think that people are laughing behind my back there. I hope not.

Being reminded that there are people with prejudices against people who are trans is hard - really hard. It might explain while the prevalence of suicidal ideation within the trans community isn't fractions of a percent like it is in the total adult population, it's 41%. Including last week someone I know...

So, please, feel free to mock behaviour, I do it all the time, but please don't dismiss her identity because when you do that, you also dismiss mine.

If you put something like the seller has into the public domain - then its your lookout. I also can't help but wonder if the style of the pictures isn't deliberate, almost as if the seller is looking for a reaction

I'm sorry it makes you feel like that. I do think there is a bit of a leap there between people identifying (either internally or verbally) someone as transgender and having an actual prejudice though. I could describe one friend to another as black to help identity them but I don't think that makes me racist.

When my missus puts clothes for sale on ebay, she doesn't take her bra off and model the clothes, she irons things, puts them on hangers and photgraphs them hanging on the door. The clothes sell perfectly OK, with no bleeding hearts commenting on how it's unfortunate she hasn't got fake tits so that she can display ebay clothes like normal people.

From the pictures you see of her tat for sale, theres a whole lot more issues going on that womans life and you dont need to be a cross-dressing Poirot to see that.
