What are the conditions like in Snowdon at the moment?
I know there has been lots of snow as we went down mid March to explore....
15 of us are staying in Llanberis next week so the plan is for lots of walking, with a little riding for the few of us that have bikes.
Very snowy. The wife was up there this week and trains are not able to go up to the top due to excess snow.
there has been a bit of thaw lower down --but unless you are experienced in snow and ice stuff with appropriate gear--stick to yer bikes-- there are lots of other places to go-- you might find a witch burning party!
There are only one or two of us who are experienced walkers, so it looks like it will be very low level walking only then...
I'm concerned about this myself, we had planned to cycle up the mountain at the end of april, the very last weekend before the bike ban begins. I've raised money for charity for doing it as well, will be a shame not to do it. I think we'll just go up as high as we dare if the conditions are a bit dicey.
