As per the title - are they reliable?
Any views on the canon g1x also appreciated

Thanks

They are in America and the stock is American.
Personally, the fact they try and mislead would be enough to put me off ordering with them.

Edit: I would pick a company with a long standing history of supplying the UK and with good feedback:

http://www.digitalrev.com/

Are 3 reliable grey importers that spring to mind.

There are others if you look on other forums

Nearly used them before but found a lot of negative comments about them and the lack of an actual uk store put me off. Went to hdew cameras in the end which had similar prices and better on some items. Choice of items available from hdew recently seem limited to what it was a few months back tho

If they fill in the customs paperwork properly, you'll pay VAT + handling fee on the package.

not sure id bother with a g1x, not saying its a bad camera though. depends what your after.

if you want great quality then maybe a csc mirorless camera, olympus have some inexpensive deals around, you might also pickup a good deal on a sony nex. smaler with more options

if portability is what you want then you can get a sony rx 100 for g1x money. or half that and get the excellent canon s100

g1x prety chunky, you might get an nikon 3200 dslr for that

like i said, depends what you want, soo many options

this is useful too
