PC is about 5 or 6 years old. It's slowing day-by-day. I can hear the hard drive getting hammered all the time. Jut run defrag and it says I don't need to defrag the disk. Hard drive is 300gb, formatted to two partition for a dual boot - 50gb C drive for the Vista install it came with (that doesn't boot properly anyway) and 250gb H drive for the XP pro install I did that I use all the time.
Processor is AMD Athlon64 3500, 2.2 gHz. I seem to recall there's 3GB of ram plugged in but only 1.87GB showing
any suggestions for speeding things up?
