Anyone else been to see this? I went on a whim last night with Mrs Bloke having vague memories of Sláine from the 2000AD comics of my youth. I was more into Dredd and Rogue Trooper so Sláine didn't always get the attention I now realise he deserved.
Absolutely entrancing story telling by Jason Buck. Mrs Bloke loved it too and she had no prior knowledge of the spiky haired Celtic hero. Highly recommend if you are into live storytelling, Celtic mythology, 2000AD or any of the above.

Never heard of him or the concept. Sadly it's not coming anywhere near me, otherwise I would have tried to go.
I never read 2000AD, but I’m familiar with most of the characters; not really into the actual artwork, but it’s well done.
Thanks - was a big fan of 2000AD including Slaine - looking at dates now.
Slaine had easily some of the best artwork in 2000AD in my opinion, it was consistently amazing.
Sadly none of this tour is anywhere near me though 😥
Had 2000AD from the first edition, til my mum threw them out. But no recollection of Slaine. Was actually down the road from me a few days ago, but looks all a bit swords and sorcery for my tastes. I liked Judge Dredd and FLESH!
I never read 2000AD
Erm... Oh.
Until very recently I had this as a collected graphic novel. Loved it but the kids weren't quite so interested. Maybe a bit young to really know what they were looking at.
Anyway, I took a lot of pleasure in adding it to the collection in our local community library. I have absolutely no doubt it's corrupting someone else's imagination somewhere.
I used to absolutely love a wacky cheesy metal band that was themed largely around this called The Lord Weird Slough Feg.
I'm not familiar with this story but I have seen Jason Buck a few times. He is very good at what he does so this could well be excellent.
Of all the 2000ad stuff I've read in the last few years, Slaine is the only thing that I didn't enjoy all that much. I think I still have it so should give it another go. Unfortunately the show goes nowhere near me otherwise I would look at going.
Jason Buck is also doing some online performances of this I think. I saw ‘digital screening march 22’ at this link
tempted as Sláine was an exceptional series of which The Horned God was perhaps my favorite arc.
I'd love to see that tbh, not coming anywhere near me so I guess it'll be digital. Haven't read Slaine for, oh,a decade but loved it back in the day (my brother found what I think was the original slaine the king graphic novel/collection in the local library in with the tintin and asterix books, we were just like "what are we reading" Harvesting tears ffs.
