Ah, you were 'nailed on' though John. It's 1984 since I first (and last) saw them. Hope Eldritch rolls out some of the early stuff.

Me again - mobile login

I strongly recommend you do some youtube research if you haven't already 😉

They've changed a fair bit in the last 25 years!

Eldritch must have run out of money again.

Is it in support of a new album?

Yeah, I'm aware of the change John, am just hoping that there's some of the older stuff in the set: Temple of Love, Body Electric, Adenochrome, 1969, Alice, Emma etc.

Alice, Floorshow, anaconda, flood I & II etc regularly feature. Tbh they'd struggle to fill a set without the old favourites

Only really new songs are Arms, Summer & Suzanne, but they've been doing the last two for at least 5 years

yes, I'll be there - if anyone fancies a pint, I'm the fat bald bloke in the Swobo ciclistas urbanos T-Shirt.
Its a bit like a blind date innit, and I must state, it makes me feel a bit funny down there...

I'll be the big, ugly farquar in camo shorts and some bike-related tee shirt or other.

If they still do the pyramid thing, I'll likely as not be at the bottom of one.

and indeed it was something similar.

The sound was better than the last time I saw them, but TBH the sound at Leeds Uni refectory is terrible anyway, so it didn't take much improving upon.

I still think they need a live bass player though.

Not just you.

I saw them 3 years ago at Leeds Uni and they were better last night, but still not as good as the "real" Sisters of Mercy

Not having a live drummer has never got in their way, but they do need a live bass player at least. Sound is far too woolly

Well I enjoyed it!!

Got down the front, in the melee, from the off and rolled back the years 8)

Ache like a ba5tard this morning though.

Club night in the other bar was good afterwards too.
