Or David F****** Thomas, as he once referred to himself! A great, if somewhat unconventional band, one I sadly never managed to see live. And he was about the same age as me! RIP David.

Ah, missed this news. That's sad, a proper original. Loved some their stuff. Live would've been quite an experience.
Quite the lineup on this show
Saw them early 80s supporting Gang of Four in Derby and again in Brighton c2013. Real energy about DT even though he wasn’t looking well. Also DT and the 2 Pale Boys at The Joiners Southampton where there was a lot of accordion and odd story telling. Some of the albums were patchy, but the early stuff consistently great. Sound of the Sand by DT & The Pedestrians was a favourite
